I like that look. I think I'm getting gloves. In fact, I'm wearing gloves where ever I go: WalMart, KMart, Church, ChuckE Cheeses!

I tore my calluses a couple weeks ago doing pull ups also. I cut the skin flaps off with a razor blade. Then disinfected the area with soap and water. I used Band-Aid brand advanced healing blister multi-day bandages with Compeed to cover them. They healed pretty quickly. Healed over in about 3 days. Ok for pull ups using tape after a week, and fully healed in about 10 days.

I used to have nice hands but now I have callouses on each hand though. Those gloves help alot! Don't knock it until you try it! ;)
