The following photos demonstrate how to begin
the "kipping" pull-up:
Jeff begins by doing a regular pull-up
After his chin goes over bar, he pushes
his body away from the bar and lets
gravity take over, allowing his body to
swing down and away
As the bottom of the swing, Jeff
properly allows his body to stretch
to its capacity, building up energy
to initiate the next pull-up. Note
how his feet stay back as his core
moves foward.
For a 200-pound guy, Jeff performs
kipping pull-ups like he's only 160.

Jeff and I chose to do Cindy. We did this from our dad's house, so we had to compromise on the pull-ups. We used an exposed I-beam for the pull-ups, one hand on each side, alternating our head position from one side to the other.
I completed 22 rounds plus 5 pull-ups. Jeff completed 19 rounds plus 5 pull-ups. 20 minutes seemed to last forever...
I did Cindy...24 rounds. Very good work out! Nice pull-ups Jeff!!
Sunday was a rest day for me. Sorry I missed "Cindy." I hope she comes back around soon. It looks like a very fun workout. I can't imagine anyone doing 20+ rounds in 20 minutes though!
