Does anyone have any post workout ritual that they think helps fight off soreness the next day? It can be anything from a stretching, a hot bath, an ice cream sundae, all of the above.

It sucked getting up to go workout this morning, but after the warm up it felt good. I actually like the early session....It's a good way to start your day

My shoulders used to constantly be sore. I started taking cold showers about a month ago and my shoulders recover really well now. When I say "cold"... I mean turning that thing allllll the way to the coldest setting. At first, you'll need to scream and swear and thrash and punch and spit ... but you'll start to like it after a few days. It's really F'ing refreshing, actually. And in the morning, it'll really wake you up.

Sometimes I'll start off in warm/hot water, then I'll switch to cold for the remainder of my time in there. Sometimes I'll keep switching back and forth between hot and cold.

I also constantly stretch my hamstrings. In the morning, in the shower, at my desk throughout the day, after a workout, before bed. Sitting at a desk all day and driving in your car (not to mention all the abuse we put our hammies through in the gym) really makes those things tighten up.

Fark, I can't seem to get to bed early enough to get in for the 6am session! I try again next week. See you all tonight.

No ritual but if I do strech at the gym before I leave, i always feel better..

Damn John the only time I took cold showers was when I was 18 and my brother and I were living together. We couldn't pay our gas bill so we were forced to take cold showers.

No real rituals with me either. I would like to stretch out more after the work out.

Morning class was cool. The following were our results:
