"Fight Gone Bad!"

Three rounds of:
Wall-ball, 20 pound ball, 10 ft target (Reps)
Sumo deadlift high-pull, 75 pounds (Reps)
Box Jump, 20" box (Reps)
Push-press, 75 pounds (Reps)
Row (Calories)

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of "rotate", the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.

Do you follow any strategy for today's workout, or do you just go all out and get as many reps as possible at each station?

I do have somewhat of a strategy for today's workout based on my last time doin this and my crap knee. I will shoot for a specific number of reps per movement per round. I'll go harder on the ones that don't involve
my knee and lighten up on the ones tht do. Let's see how it goes.

I follow the same strategy as running a race...start steady and finish strong. Nothing worse than tiring out too early.

Good luck everyone on "Fight Gone Bad".

Today at CrossFit El Paso East we did "Blackjack Bust"

21 Pushups
1 Situp
20 Pushups
2 Situps
19 Pushups
3 Situps
18 Pushups
4 Situps
etc...
1 Pushup
21 Situps

That is a total of 231 Pushups and 231 Situps...I think...did I do the math right?

Whats your strategy on this one Teach? I remember at the competition in St Charles you mentioned you would have done it differently.

I never really used a strategy before, but it seems like it definitely increases your total score if you plan one out around your strengths/weaknesses. It sounds like you are right on track, Norberto. I also agree with Jerome that you don't want to come out too strong.

I've been working the numbers for about 2 hours today. Lets see if what I come up with will work tonight.

Well, not the best fight gone bad for me, but I did sub rowing for burpees. I did 101, 94, 93. I was gassed at the end. I was actually laughing at myself b/c I came out too strong, just like I said I wouldn't. Oh well.

I'm eating a hearty dinner with the hopes of getting enough endurance to last. I most likely will push myself to vomit but will hold it back until I get to the parking lot.
