Main Site Rest Day.

CrossFit Roselle:

Technique Day. Got a movement you need to work on? We'll work on it today and turn it into a WOD.

Action Andrew turned out to be the only taker on the 5K run yesterday. I know that many of you had good excuses, but I think in general most people do not like the pure running WODs and will skip them if at all possible. Why is that?

Believe it or not I don't mind the running WODs. I'm going to try and do my 5k tonight on my 800m route. A full trip around the block is just a little over 800m so that will make up the .125 part of the 3.125 miles. 6 rounds will give me my 5k. I'll post my time. I think Liliana will do the same.

As much as I hate running, I wish I can start running again. I think I'm building muscle on my abs, but I have that gut or all that fat over it and I want to get rid of it. Unfortunately the freaking ankle. I think I should have gotten a cast on it. I don't know if it even healed.

Oh, Andrew great job on the showing up for the 5k. What was your time?

I love running, it's a release for me. Nothing like cranking up the IPOD and zoning out for an hour or so. It's also good thinking time! I did the 5k yesterday in 20:55. Very happy with that. It was a very hilly course so I think I can improve. New goal...under 20 by the end of the year!

Today I think I'm going to do some make-up work. I'll run to/from the gym which adds up to a little more than a 5K (but broken in half), and then do the walking lunge thing from Monday... the last two days have been crazy with working literally the entire day, which reminds me once more that I should have worked out on Monday instead of giving myself the day off... gotta get it done while you can! Good luck with your runs, everyone-- looks like great weather!

Although it was no where close to a low 20 miinutes, I am very happy and pleased with my 5K time. I feel I did a true 5k. My time 27:14. The little hills slowed me down but I pushed it on the down hills. I've come to realize I will never run a marathon, I do not mind running though. This run felt great. My last 5k was a little over 29 minutes. This is a PR for me. See you guys tomorrow.
