Thursday 090108

Ten rounds for time of:
3 Weighted Pull-ups, 45 pounds
5 Strict Pull-ups
7 Kipping Pull-up

For weighted pull-ups place a 45 pound dumbbell between the legs above crossed ankles and jettison the dumbbell after third rep and continue with strict pull-ups and then the kipping pull-ups. Coming off the bar or going to ground constitutes termination of a set.

Post time and number of sets to completion.

New member Liliana showing off her handstands. For those of you who can't do a handstand - practice, practice, practice! You have to be able to do a handstand before you can think about doing a handstand push-up. Liliana, you're handstands looked great!

The wifey's handstand looks good. I'm going to have to try my handstands tonight when I come in.

As for the workout, I can barely do 4 kipping pull ups. Very interested in seeing how this one gets scaled down?

I wasn't up for an all pull up workout so I made one up:

10 times for time:

800m run
10 pull ups
5 dips
(5 mile, 100 pull ups, 50 dips total)

I did it in 58:27.

Jeremy! You're an animal! Way to go. That should be the rule when subbing in a different WoD, it's gotta be a lot tougher one.

Note the view out the window, across the street. That's a dentist office. So while you're working out, you can watch people over there getting their teeth drilled, and vice-versa. Who's having more fun?

Although Jason gave me a hard time for not doing 10 dips! Next time I'll just have to do that!
