Strip steak and oven roasted veggies (broccoli, zucchini, squash splashed w/ olive oil)

Chicken sausage w/ asparagus sauteed in olive oil

Would you consider either of the above dishes appropriate for a Zone meal? Is one dish more Zone appropriate than the other?

Hmm... Not sure. But can I have the steak with the asparagus? That looks good :)

He'll yeah those are both zone diet appropriate. They look good too. I would say the steak one might have a bit much protien. Then again it looks like it contains a few more carbs as well. Either way I think with a piece of fruit you pretty much have a 4 block zone meal.

Steak looks like 5/6 blocks the veg would be 3 and the olive oil would probably be 3-4 fat blocks, it would be zone if you are subbing additional protein for the carbs..

Not knowing the fat content of those sausages makes this one difficult, 12 spears of asparagus is 1 block so that should be around 4 blocks.
