Tuesday 090630

I hope everyone enjoyed my time away - I know I did! A big thanks to Eric and John for looking after things while I was gone. I posted a few scenic pictures from my honeymoon in Hawaii to help take your mind off the WOD. Let's push for a big showing tomorrow, as we will all need the moral support to get through this one. We'll do the standard CFWU and then straight into the WOD due to the time constraint. See you then!

"Eva"
Five rounds for time of:
Run 800 meters
2 pood Kettlebell swing, 30 reps
30 Pull-ups

Post time to comments.

Compare to 081223.

Welcome back. Good pictures. Hope you and Mrs. Rice had a great time.

Eva is going to hurt but I'm due for an ass kicking after my long break. I'll see you guys at 5pm.

Welcome back.

I won't be able to make it at 5 or 6, but possibly 7. I have a pick up at ORD at 5:55p. I'm hoping to be back for the 7.

Wish I could see the pics.

I left my stupid lunch bag at the gym last night. I was reaaalllly looking forward to eating that leftover eggplant and zucchini today. Too bad.

Weather.com says "few showers"/30% precipitation for this evening. I think a light shower might be nice during the awful 2.5 miles.

I am just going to treat this one as nice stroll in the park.

Jason feel free to send me home at the hour mark.

I'm usually super fast, but the ankle doesn't allow it. Jason, more than likely, 3 rounds will be plenty for me. Anyways, that should be the full hour.

I am also bringing my brother in law, JJ, with me. He wants to try it out and more than likely sign up.

see you at 7

Welcome back Jason!

I'd like to do the 800m runs as out and backs. 20 times around the building doesn't seem that appealing. I scoped out an out and back out the alley and around on the sidewalk. It would be nice to measure it for accuracy though.

Oh yeah, I don't mind taking one of the smaller kettle bells, since we only have one 2 pood available.

Here is a path we can use for the Run, I don't think I can handle the laps around the building as well..

I'll be there at 6. This is going to be a rough one I think! Thank god its not 95 degrees out.

ok it doesn't show the markings, so basically out the front to Lake street, along lake to Garden, garden up to the back alley way and then the alley to the front door, Google maps says its 790 meters but uf I traced perfectly along the sidewalk I bet it would be 800

I like Kathy's route. I think this is it.

We would have to go out to Lake though and make that alley part the end of the run sinnce its at a slope and I'd rather be coming down the slope then having to go up it. This is one big circle.

I'll try and get there a bit early and verify the distance. I'm not sure if there is a sidewalk by Lake, so we may need to come up with a slightly different route. I'll take care of it. Eric, I'm on my way to pick up an extra 70 pounder just for you.

Thanks Jason,

I think we should draw straws to see who gets the 70 pounders.

Here's my route. It's out and back, all off street.

Welcome back Jason. Hope you both had a great time.

Can't wait to get back in the gym. Hopefully it will not be cold out by the time I'm able to get back in there. Take advantage of this great weather for me.

Jason, not that you were waiting for me to be there at 7pm today, but I apologize. I was stuck at the airport. Picking up kids who fly alone takes forever for the airlines to let them go
