This one scares me. The ring dips is what made my shoulder bother me for more than a week. But, I'm ready for the WOD

I did a modified WOD. No ring dips at my gym so I did 90. I also started the cleans but it really hurt my shoulder so I subbed sumo high pulls. Did it in 14:19.

12:43. The double unders at the end were ridiculously hard. I couldn't move my arms fast enough or get off the ground. Legs and arms are toast.

Jason, every movement in this one is pretty much a weakness of mine. I really need to do this one. Since I'll be out tonight I'd like to do this one tomorrow since tomorrow should be a rest day. I'm thinking scaling down the squat clean since thats my biggest weakness. Then of course the ring dips. Those are a whole other monster. Either way I need to do this one with your help

WOD was hard for me today. I felt really weak (maybe because I am!) I seriously wanted to quit during the cleans, but I had to finish. I did assisted dips because I didn't want to hurt my shoulder like I did with "Elizabeth". Other than that, everything else was PR.

Just looked at the video from tonight. Props to Andrew on his double unders. I was too busy with the DLs to notice. I'm envious.

Oh, one other thing I learned tonight after looking at the video. When Jason says "You've got another 50 lbs on the deadlift easy", the translation is "your deadlift technique sucks."

Jason said...

You almost had an extra 50 pounds on your DL, Eric! That 275 isn't far away. A few minor adjustments, and you'll have it no problem.

Oh yeah, nice job on pushing through, Andy! Norberto, we'll get this one done today.
